Beer Boot?
Ever heard of a beer boot?
What the heck is a beer boot anyways? These glass beer drinking vessels have been taking American college campuses by storm ever since the movie BeerFest was released. Since then, college kids (of legal drinking age of course) have been buying German beer boots and recreating the famous beer drinking competition scene in the end of BeerFest. This scene features are large two liter beer boot called “Das Boot”. The members of the USA Drinking Team are pitted against the German Drinking Team and it all comes down to which team can drink two liters of beer from the “Das Boot” beer boot the quickest. If the beer drinking spills even a drop of beer, they forfeit the completion. To top it off, every drop of beer must be consumed to win the contest. Needless to say, the hero’s from the American team win the completion and the rights to brew the “best beer in the world.”
BeerFest is quickly gaining cult status among college students and with it, beer boots have entered the lexicon on college campuses. Das Boot!
